With many of the top 2017 Prospects in the Midwest president at Fall Ball Invitational Kansas City, here’s a look at prospect that had the most impact during this year’s camp.
Jacob Gilyard 5’9 PG Barstow MO
When it comes to competitiveness from beginning to end Gilyard set the bar at Fall Ball Invitational Kansas City. In a field loaded with high caliber guard prospects Gilyard was the most impactful putting up major production in leading team Arizona to at 3-0 record while scoring 34, 26 & 28 in the games played on his way to camp MVP. Gilyard one of the top prospects in Missouri’s 2017 & is definitely is primed to have a major impact this high school season.
Elijah Childs 6’8 F Lee Summit West KS
Childs played with great efficiency and consistency throughout the games at Fall Ball Invitational dominating around the rim. Childs has already establish itself as a division 1 prospect and displayed all the tools that have made him that. Childs finished everything in the paint and owned the glass while on his way to capturing the camp MVP.
Angelo Allegri 6’6 SF St.Thomas Aquains
One of the most impressive regardless of position in class at Fall Ball Invitational Allegri displayed the kind of athleticism and versatility that college coaches seek out in division one wing prospects. Allegri played with competitiveness & aggressiveness attacking off the dribble finishing around the rim at a high rate and showed good shooting touch from the perimeter. Allegri is definitely under the radar at this point and should be considered a high priority target for any D2 program and could play his way into some division one looks.
Destan Williams 5’8 PG Pattonville MO
One of the top overall performances from Fall Ball Invitational was point guard Destan Williams. Williams came out to prove a point and that point was made, that he can score and facilitate with the best of them creating scoring opportunities for self and others. Williams size my not draw the attention of programs right now but Williams has the skills to make contributions to Scholarship level program as the starting point guard.
Marques Wilson 6’2 PG Edmond North OK
Few prospects showed the production and skill that Wilson displayed at Fall Ball Invitational. Wilson stayed in attack mode putting pressure on defender’s with his ability to score from anywhere on the floor. Wilson made much progress in his game over this summer and seems primed to have a major high school season.
Darien Jackson 6’3 SG Blue Valley Northwest
Jackson was one of the premier prospects at Fall Ball Invitational. Nothing out of the ordinary for Jackson as he ran the court, attacked the lane and made open shots. Jackson showed a high caliber combination of athleticism, ball skills and perimeter shooting range.
Jal Bijiek 6’8 F Des Moines North IA
One of the prospects showing great potential and production was Jal Bijiek. Jal had major impact defending the rim blocking at high volume, while finishing around the rim with authority on offense. Bijiek possesses great combination of size, length, skill and athleticism.
Isiah Wilson 6’0 G Father Tolton MO
Wilson brought his game to Fall Ball Invitational is filed loaded with high caliber prospects showing you can hang them with some of the best. Wilson showed great ball skills and had one of the best looking shots off the dribble in the camp.
Jared Ridder 6’6 SF Kickapoo MO
When it came to having an impact in all facets of the game Ridder led the pack. Ridder not only scored but created scoring opportunities for others from the wing, while rebounding and defending at a high level as well. Ridder was the most complete wing prospect at Fall Ball Invitational Kansas City.
Chidozie Ndu 6’10 PF Sunrise Christian
One of the most impactful front court prospects during the camp Ndu was a force in the paint on both ends of the court. Chidozie is on the verge of making a major recruiting serge as he possesses many of the physical attributes that you can’t teach in a front court prospect. Ndu has good hands, length, size and explosiveness around the rim.
Tyreese Davis 6’5 SG Grandview KS
Davis showed major game with his ability to attack off the dribble, finish above the rim in traffic and defend on the perimeter at a high level. Davis could be a definite become a late recruiting target for high D2’s looking for athletic wing prospects.
Tray Buchanan 6’1 PG United Township IA
One of the top point guard performers from Fall Ball Invitational Tray Buchanan brought his “A” game. Buchanan preformed at high level with his ability to penetrate the defense off of the dribble finishing around the rim. Buchanan possesses a great combination of scoring ability, creativity creating off the dribble and for others.
Demarco Smith 6’1 G Washington KS
Smith was one of the most complete guard prospects at Fall Ball Invitational showing great competitiveness on both sides of the court. Demarco thrives at creating for himself and others in the open court. Smith took no plays off playing with good energy making others pay for their mistakes.
